About Us

Let’s start with hi, i’m Sophie and i am a British artist who loves to use watercolours.

I started painting with watercolours at a young age and I have always loved it.

Over the years I have been through a lot and probably the biggest roller coaster in my life was losing my mother when I was 21, it was the first time in my life I couldn’t paint.

Some years later and I now have a wonderful husband and a mother of two beautiful happy boy’s. Yes i know being a boy mum is definitely one of the hardest jobs out there and keeping them out of trouble is a whole other challange in it’s self.

It’s definitely been a challenge for us and I found it very difficult with only my husband for support as his family live in Slovenia, We had to navigate our way through being first-time parents on our own and now with two its actually been easier the second time around.

I felt like I had completely lost my identity when our first child was born and my husband could see I was struggling each day. Then he Inspired and encouraged me to pick up my paintbrushes and get painting and once i did I finally felt like I had something to look forward to each day. 

Ppainting with watercolours and making art saved me from postnatal depression and I finally found my identity again but this time it is even better than before.

However being an artist has proven to be even more challanging than i had thought it would be. Finding the time to paint and remembering to do the school pick up, after school clubs, running a business and keeping my website working (which i built all on my own and took 8 months) is extremely demanding. But i just take each day as it comes and hope for the best.

My aim is to spread happiness and joy with my colourful animals, to create unique and special gifts with something for everyone. And i will be honest i also need to try and earn a living to support my family and keep a roof over our heads and keep the old car running. I truly hope one day this can just be a hobbie. 

I really hope my artwork will help and inspire people to enjoy life and if my art can put a smile on someone’s face or just make them feel that little bit better when they are having a bad day then I will be happy.
